The nucleus of an idea started forming when just a few friends and family would catch up each week and paint throughout the night. One Friday night, East Writer expressed what everyone was thinking, 'why not start our own gallery?' An art gallery where artists could take control of their own work. So began the future of Curious Art.

Historic meeting for future Curious Artists at the Kingscliff Hotel Kingscliff NSW

Expressions of interest were sent out throughout NSW and QLD. About 25 artists arrived at the Kingscliff Hotel in the summer of 2001. Later in May, Curious Art Minus Zero No Limits was registered and launched. The 1950s art deco building at Chinderah NSW became an iconic home for the creative arts, spanning sixteen years.

The photography business, Curious Digital Photography (2013-2018), offered fundamentals, intermediate and advanced level courses. The lessons were centered on the elements and principles of design.
